Preggy Diaries: our UNEXPECTED Surprise!

I'm Positive...Now What?

My story:

Few weeks ago, I already felt some strange things happening to my body. But I wasn't really thinking of being pregnant since my period is coming on a few more days, so I thought, this might be pre-menstrual syndrome only that I am experiencing. Until 1 day I really had a weird spotting that never happened before. OMG! I just became more suspicious than everrrr! That I even tried to do a pregnancy test bt the result is invalid (which the PT is still blank after you drop the urine already also just after an hour of waiting it seemed that it is negative because we saw 1 line only.) Now that I have seen the result I did try not to think about it because I don't want to expect too much as well. Day came that I should have my period.. but didn't. Day 2, still none. Day 3, I have a stabbing pain like cramps on my lower abdomen which made me feel that I might be having my period anytime soon. But Day 4 arrives, still no sign and made me really realize that I really should see a doctor because I am not feeling better, I'm stressed out and my back is aching badly.

after another pregnancy test.. POOF! Two lines came in..

I have read an article on the web which I find this very informative especially in my case:
I'd be gladly share this one that gave me huge help after I learned that me and my partner is expecting!

WHAT TO DO IF YOU KNOW YOU ARE A PREGGY POSITIVE.

Take a Test
...together! It's just not as much fun to find out the good news if one of you is away on business or just got home from a tough day. If you have an inkling, decide together when to take the test, and leave some time to celebrate if the news is good. Many tests say to take them in the morning, but don't do it before work. (Wait until Saturday a.m. if you want to play by the rules.) How could you concentrate on a 9:30 meeting after getting the biggest news of your life?

Keep it Quiet
...for now. This is huge, exciting news — give yourselves some time to revel in your shared secret for a few days (or weeks). Pick a time to tell the parents (best to wait until you're a few weeks along), and put together a plan. Break the news to both sets of parents with similar timing and fanfare to avoid hurt feelings. As for your friends... common knowledge says, wait until week twelve. But, (with the guidance of our real mom Nesties) we say, do it whenever the time feels right! Just make sure you're prepared for the news to spread quickly — it's tough for people to keep such exciting news to themselves!

See the Doctor
... now! Chances are, the test was correct and everything is fine... but it's still essential to see your OB/GYN. Call your doc and explain that you're expecting as soon as you know, and schedule your first appointment for whenever she recommends.

I am just so happy about the news, well me and my PARTNER of course. (I will talk about him soon) and I am also very happy that I am writing on my blog again, after a looooong looong hiatus. (why?long story as well. haha!) But right now I will be giving you updates on my baby bump which I know will be seen in time soon.

Sorry for the iPhone quality pics

How far along: 5 Weeks

Gender: ???

Total weight gain: Still none.. I'm a thin person I weigh about a 100 lbs only. That's why I'm so excited on how will I look like being pregnant. :)

Maternity Clothes: I'm still in regular clothes and some of my low rise or boyfriend jeans still actually close.

Stretch marks: None yet... Hopefully

Sleep: Pretty great so far minus having to get up once a night for a restroom break. gaaah!

Miss Anything: None yet.. Well I smoke & drink, which I think will be missed totally..

Cravings: I think  none so far, hmm..maybe lugaw (filipino porridge) are pretty much the only things I won't pass up right now.

Symptoms: it's still early but ladies these hips are hurting already! This first trimester I was really nauseous and SUPER tired. I know that's to be expected but the tired was on another level since I commute every Monday.

Belly Button in or out: its still inside.

Mood: Pretty good so far!

Best Moment this week: SO MUCH GIDDY! The excitement is eating me up. hahaha

Looking forward to: A Full Maternity wardrobe plus mixing & matching! Just recently saw my fave preggy stars (Blake L. Miranda K., Adriana L., Natalie P., Alessandra A., Megan F. and Kate Hudson)

Exercise: Walk, walk and walk..

My little boy is getting a bit clingly lately.. :)

Overall, I feel great. No weird symptoms yet. (aside from the hip & back ache)
So any tips, advice or suggestions you mamas have is always appreciated! Anyhow sorry for the novel but finally had a sec to put a full bump date together for you!

PS: I wrote this the day after I learned that I am pregnant.. (Feb 21, 2015 - 8.55am)
but we decided that the day this post will be a month after. Although it's tough, but we wanted to keep quite and savor the secret within ourselves first. As we decide on how to tell everybody especially to our family.

I will see you again soon!
